What We Do:
The Hoteliers’ Charter is designed to raise the profile of our industry in the public arena, advocating working in hotels as a great career choice. Charter Members’ role is to encourage employment from their locality into the wider hospitality industry, primarily through hotels.
Local Hoteliers Associations
By joining The Charter, you become part of a network of progressive hoteliers. As a member, you will find your local Hoteliers Association, and in most cases, will be invited to join their exclusive gatherings. At meetings, the Hoteliers Associations talk about local and wider industry issues, share best practice and support one another in the challenges that we all face in our roles as General Managers.
Institute of Hospitality:
You will be linked to your closest branch of The Institute of Hospitality for greater networking and support in learning and development of your team members, in particular apprenticeships.
UK Hospitality Association:
UK Hospitality works on our behalf across the whole of the UK and connects with Government to be the voice of our business needs.
WHO WE ARE:
We are a group of predominantly UK-based hoteliers from independent, chain and branded hotels who embody the values, behaviours and actions of a progressive hotel company.
We are made up of a mix of Master Innholders, St Julian Scholars, Fellows and Members of the Institute of Hospitality and are all leaders of our hotels. We champion our industry as a career of choice and lead in best practice by putting the welfare of our employees first.
We are committed to providing a workplace environment built on respect, fairness, equality, diversity and opportunity, and to placing colleagues’ wellness and career development at the heart of the operation.
We have a vision that The Charter, while focused on the hotel sector, will evolve into an exemplar for enlightened employment practices across the industry’s other sectors, supporting efforts to promote hospitality as a profession of choice to parents, schools, colleges, universities and career influencers.
